Don't take this the wrong way and maybe I am just playing Devils Advocate, but I don't see the difference. Either it is ethical to share a number when you have been scammed or it isn't. Just because Tom says he has the number for a scammer that appeared last year, why is it okay for me to send him The new scammers phone number so he can compare? Then anyone could say "send me the number so I can see if it is the same guy". Now I realize Tom has been on this forum for some time and appears to be a very trusted guy. So do we change the rules and make it ok to PM him a phone number and no one else that may have been burned? And by chance lets say it is the same guy - so what - do we start sharing the number then?

I am really confused on what the RIGHT thing is to do. I see Tom's point of not sharing, but then I don't see why its okay to share when he asks. (nothing personal Tom - just a good example of when is it OK)

Still looking for more feedback from members.
