You have a pic of the bracket thing? Until you figure out what it is, don't drive it.
For future reference, DO NOT drive a car when you have a major part leftover, a bolt is one thing, a bracket is another. When I did my T-belt, I took it all apart again because I forgot to put a bolt back (still had one left over though
