One thing I note, not so obvious. Recovery time is perceived as longer as we get older and less able to tolerate the punishment or the poison.
What we oldies don't take into account are two related factors.
1) We don't drink to the same extent, or the same volume as we used, not the same triggers, drivers, needs, macho posturings and so on. So our tolerance is not built up so well.
2) With age, comes some wisdom, so we recognise what our limits are, and adjust our consumption to suit.
Unlike Mr Jagger, I am enjoying the ageing process, but of course I am not making anything like the amount of money he is from my "image", so I have less to moan and mourn.
