They use the same tranny for all years. There is a different gear ratio for 94+ models though but 94 will still die. It all depends on how new the trannies are and how abused they were before you got them.
Why don't the 95+ break down, cause they have lower miles on them. I have a 92 with 140k and original tranny that has not missed a beat vs my 94 with a rebuilt that I am starting to save up for a 5 speed conversion.
