Thats my main reluctance to use one of these Legacy transmissions- most of my driving is highway, and I really like the fact that at around 70 with the SVX transmission, the engine is doing less than 2,500 rpms. With the 4.44, its doing closer to 3,000. I'm less interested in performance and more interested in longevity and comfort.

And while 4.11 and 4.44 gears will help your launch time and make you quicker off the line, your engine will be at a higher RPM at cruising speed.
