It's a 92 LSi (VIN x85), with a brand new transmission installed, and it has 111k miles. It has the dark green ext. with grey int, the paint still shines (no fading), but the leather seats are worn, and I have not seen any 92's as of yet, with seats that aren't worn (no rips or tears, just your typical cracking). Asking price is at $4200, it has been offered to me for $2500. After test driving it, I determined it will need new rotors, at least, and the tires will need to be replaced. What should I offer for this car, is $2500 too much, and if so, would $2000 be a good offer considering the work that I would have to have done? The major plus of course is the new transmission, though it would still need a transmission cooler added for longevity. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Thanks, SVX seeker
SVX,
I think its a good deal for 2.5K . I paid 3K for mine with 112K on it, but no other work was needed, i do have a seperation in the stitching of the 'butt part' of the seat, but the leather is in good shape. Go with some drilled and or slotted rotors, and you should be in excellent shape...I would say if you put in $1000 bucks to do engine flush, rotors/pads, coolant flush, bleed the brakes, and get new tires all around, you will have u a heckuva car for $3500
