I bought both new from the dealer when I got my pearl a while back. The one for over $100 is the main float to sense the level of gas and the sub one is to tell when the light comes on. I got both because the pearl would got straight to E 50 miles from a full tank so I replaced the main one and it still did it. So I bought the sub unit and it fixed the problem because they run together so if one goes bad the other one won't work. You also get the whole assembly from what you pull out of the tank.
