You've got the right idea with removing the lever. I haven't done it myself though. I can call my mechanic in a few hours. He'll know exactly what needs to be done.

However i have the plug out and a allen wrench into the hole, i just can't get the lever to release. Does this sound like they mean put the bolt in there then pull the bolt out with the pin, or put the bolt in there and then the lever should just come right out???

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated...
