SVX + snow tires = master of snow
for some reason, the SVX and some cheap Winterhandler snow tires gave me more confidence than my LGT and Blizzaks do. 
remember, AWD does not help with braking, cornering, and downhills on ice. good snow and ice tires will help a little, studded ones more so.
