Re: 92 Svx

Well,

It is a low pressure system (5PSI) with a T3/T4 hybrid turbo located nicely on the passenger side of the engine and not visible at all. Just a by pass valve (saab/bosch type) gives it a way. The plastic inlet chamber is replaced with an aluminum pressure box. There's a second FPR in series with the original one for increased fuel pressure under boost. Also an additional fuel nozzle with a controller is located in the pressure box. No intercooler is installed.

"Something" was done to the ECU too, but so far I've been unable to find out what. The whole work was done by a shop with good reputation for this kind things, but the owner didn't know much about the details.... the costs did add up to quite high, I got all the receipts.... oh well. He even had all the required emission testing done accorging to the applicable EU directives and just this alone cost several thousand USD at the time.

A few small odds and ends need attention, but the vehicle is in fairly good nick for a car 20 years old and the it drives very well. The power delivery is smooth with lots of mid range, but obviously less than 300hp at the top end.

Just ordered a TCU and a modified valve body from Michael at Ecutune for the tranny. Let's see how they firm up the shifts.
