I did the cross-country drive twice in my previous '92 pearlie and it did great. Stopping every 4 hours for gas, etc., and back on the road, and these cars sit so well on long trips. I've made that drive a couple times, just not in an SVX.
I'm motivated as I worked in Lafayette for over 20 years, lurked in the background at the 10th Anniversary meet, and still have a few friends that work at SIA. Not to mention old neighbors would put me up so no hotel costs in Lafayette.
