Update
so guess what! my buddy who's basically a roommate at my house (who doesnt pay rent) got hit and run'd in the exact same spot i did... he drives a saturn and was plowed into at about the same time of night...
everybody heard it and we ran outside, i went vigilante in my socks and took after him (my new passat)... lost him... and as we were talking to the cops on the phone, my buddy calls up to tell me they HAVE THE LICENSE PLATE ON THE GROUND!!!
he doesnt remember the accident but he DID blow a .24 bac. less than an hour after the accident he was in jail... exciting night
