I think the axles you bought were not assembled correctly. The axles should not come apart. The inner joint is a tripod set-up and there is supposed to be a snap ring that holds the tripod at the end of the shaft. If the snap ring is missing, then that could be the problem. If the snap ring came off and sitting in the grease in the booty then the axle was tooooo short. Were these after market axles or remanufacturered or Subaru?
