Thanks for the info and the quick response!
I tried that and didn't get any gas through. Afterward I looked again and decided to swap the supply and return lines underneath the car just to see; and what do you know...the car started!
When connecting all of the new lines underneath I was following the diagram found in the official Subaru SVX service manual and I guess that the diagram is backwards
