just outa curiosity why u all so sure about alternator?

ok if u have not dead battery ur car WILL RUN PERFECTLY WITHOUT ALTERNATOR!!
had it with mine, my steering belt sliped out and ripped, so i had to drive without alternator and steering, and it drove and worked all good.

so by my understanding the problem, the bad alternator can cause only the battery going flat. Had it with mums bluebird- alternator dead, light on, battery flat in couple of hours of driving.

Starter dying- car starts every second time, then just dies, smash with hammer and its ok for a while.


to the post about MAF. car will go alright without MAF. tried that too...

So problem like car dies while it runs and it wont start is something else.
(when steering belt rips, all lights come on)

so maybe u should think wider?......
