I know the engine the 2008 North American STi is the same 2.5l from last, it still uses the same twin-scroll turbo as in every other market.

You realise that a tire that is
designed to be quiet on wet and dry surfaces is a all-season tire, regardless of tread rating? And
according to this article the same goes for new tires unless you go with the optional SP Sport 01s.
