i guess a good test would be to download bitcomet (p2p program) and try to download like fedora core 2 or 3 using the torrent style p2p sharing. you'll get your max speed pretty quick since you'll be pulling from some locations that'll have high upload speeds.

if you get 88mbps or 88000kbps, then you're really getting that speed if not, then the speed that's shown during the download is the speed your connection is.

i would think the equipment would limit the bandwidth somehow - if i'm paying for 15M, why would i buy the more expensive plan if i'm downloading at 88M?

we don't deal with the FIOS equipment at work, so i don't know the specs or how it all works, but we will be manning the FIOS Video equipment soon.

if you get FIOS Video, i will broadcast "Mr. Ed" and "Hee-Haw" to you in a 24-hour feed.
