I was planning to do the Alt. wiring upgrade before my car became posessed, but I have a question. If you add a 4 gauge wire from the Alternator directly to the positive post of the battery, doesn't it by-pass the fusible link?
What is the fusible link for? Is it dangerous to by-pass it?
Why didn't they just use a fuse?
