It would definitely cost a little more due to wasting some synthetic but I've read that in order to replace all the fluid one could just:
1. Drain the conventional fluid as usual then refill with synthetic.
2. Disconnect the transmission cooler return line so it runs into a container.
3. Pull the parking brake and/or have someone with their foot on the brake pedal then start the car and put it D.
4. After draining 4-5 quarts or when color changes to the synthetic's shut off the car.
5. Reconnect lines and top off with the synthetic.
Any reasons why doing the above wouldn't work on the svx?
