Sounds to me like you need a new ripping program.
There are some shareware programs out there that can do this (sort based on ID3 tag), and then rename the file with the track number (i.e. "03 " or "15-") at the beginning. They are few and far between, good luck finding them. There was one for Mac that I used a couple of times... Can't remember the name.
Try searching download.com? I don't really know what to tell you... I just use a Mac for all my media.
