Ok, I have my hands on a used rack. This thing looks very hard to install
I did not see a how to file on this thing. So when you changed your rack it stopped the smoke?
There are two small lines right below the steering rack and they are covered in junk.

Here is your first clue....oh and by the way thanks for all the help. Has anyone ever had a mechanic put a rack in for them ??? If so how much was it$$$
