I agree that is the way it uses to work out engine load on our model.
In the later Phase 11 box they use the extra speed sensor on the Turbine shaft to calculate the engine load, by comparing the engine speed, to the turbine speed, to tell how much load the converter is under, the higher the difference, the higher the load. This is a direct relationship to the engine load.
