IMHO, I would never pay a shop to do something as simple as changing the pads. You're probably looking at about $200+ plus parts, for a job that I could teach a monkey to do. You may not even need new pads, it could be something just shifted (happened to me) and the shims aren't laying right (or maybe you don't have shims if the pads on their are aftermarket).
