I aculy think they have around a 3.7 or 3.9 final drive ratio, becasue of less weight from the rest of the AWD and the less drive train power loss.
I know that in the Autos the fwd compared to the AWD trannie on the same car had a higher final drive ratio.
I would either pull one from a legacy or impreza there the same trannie throught the years, and modles pretty much.
The FWD 5spd conversion would only be easier, just follow the AWD instructions minus the drive shaft extendind, rear end ratio swap.
I am almost 100% certain there almost identical.
