Re: 3.3 vs. 3.6 Exhaust Manifold Gaskets

There is always a trade off with so called BHP increases from exhaust systems, other factors are effected like torque, heat, fueling, noise and when the power and torque is available in the rev band.

Manufacturers and after market exhaust companies spend hundreds of hours and thousands of pounds/dollars on R&D to design a system for a specific purpose.

I have yet to find anyone who has managed to build a properly balanced system with off the shelf cut and chopped parts in their garage or driveway. An exhaust system alone is not going to make any noticeable difference when you drive the car. As for weight...it's an SVX, enough said really!
If you want a loud exhaust on an SVX maybe you should be looking at buying a civic or skyline? Or as you are lucky enough to have lovely V8's you are spoilt for choice on the decibel front.

Just saying :-)
