Question about 4.44 tranny and Valve Body

***UPDATE*** I had posted the results of a Level 10 valve body (PTS Hydrosystem they call it) in another thread. The thread is here-->

For those of you that have swapped out your stock transmission for a 4.44 transmission, I have a question. When this swap is done, do you retain your stock valve body or the valve body of the car that had the 4.44 tranny? Are they one in the same?

I'm asking because I want to know if I can swap the valve body out of my Outback Sport into the SVX since they both have 4.44 trannies. (The 1997 Outback does have a 4.44 right? **Looks around**) There is a sound reason for this but I'll post it up only if needed. Thanks for any input.
