Here's some photos as promised.

First few are of the heads as finished. Standard 1997-1998 WRX (EJ20T) valves springs and retainers go in, no modifications required.

The factory hydraulic lash adjustors have been gutted, and modified to become solid buckets.

There's a gap of about 2.2mm which will be replaced by a small shim to set the valve clearances.

The heads have had a touch up...not a serious port, just a bit of a tidy up and as mentioned, now flowing about 170cfm at 10" water on the inlets. Not too bad.

Cam specs are 230 degrees duration at 0.050 with 10.4mm lift (there's 11mm till coil bind on the WRX springs) and slightly more duration and less lift on the exhaust. Cams are built up regrinds.

Also, here's a couple of photos of the new brake arrangements. Factory stuff gone, replaced with a Tilton pedal box and hydraulic handbrake. Master cylinder sizes are 0.75" rear and 0.7" fronts. Clutch is another 0.7" but I think that's wrong...combination of pedal length and pedal ratio changes, means I think a smaller one would be better.

Hydraulic handbrake is another 0.7"...locks the standard rears nicely from a pretty reasonable speed.
