Read you're manual there boy (or sorry forgot you were from the sticks... Have it read to ya)
It goes something like this 7500 miles for the oil change unless you drive 1. Short distances, 2. In congested traffic or through traffic lights, 3. On dusty roads. Which unless you live in the midwest sticks and only drive on the highway I think that pretty much covers everybody here then you should change it every 3750. I know this has been Subaru's recommendation at least through the EA-81 engine series (early 80s) and probably even earlier.
