You also need to use your hacksaw to cut the old mirror off the mounting bracket, leaving enough of the mounting bracket to put back in place and refasten or clip the plastic bracket cover on it. This makes a professional looking job out of your project.

Correct, I was planning on doing this. Although I was faced with the dillema of actually trying to mount the old bracket on a peace of wood instead of destroying the old mirror. I haven't decided yet.

I will post the final pictures when I am done with it. Hopefully after this weekend.
