I did my first autocross in the MR2 today. Yesterday was canceled, a decision I disagree with completely, but whatever. Today was a hell of a lot of fun.
What a fun little car to drive. I mean, I've been driving it for a week, but obviously not like I drove it today. It just changes direction so quickly...
...the only complaint I have is the tires. They're total, utter poop and I was completely limited by them today. I barely had to touch the brakes and they'd lock up in the front. As a matter of fact, I'm pretty sure I flat-spotted one of the fronts. I had a shake in the steering wheel on the way home that I haven't noticed before. It could be something else, but the car did so well I have a hard time believeing I broke something.
My wife rode with me on her first fun run, too, which is really cool. I thought she'd hate it but she giggled the whole time.
I'm glad I put both harnesses in the car!
