If David is correct that no lurch implies it's not the tranny, I wonder if something like the TCU could cause such a thing, i.e., what would happen if the torque control signal got sent to the ECU as soon as a gear was engaged & while at idle? Probably pretty far fetched...I'll go back to sleep now.
