Bolted on? You must refer to SVX's driven below the snow belt.
My Illinois born SVX's heatshields weren't held together with bolts - they were held together with RUST. I just replaced the high flow cat this past weekend and both primary cat heatshields had three of the for bolt mount positions rusted clean off. Removing my precat heatshields was like shucking clams. The SVX sounds like a Jag V12 now that the rattles and exhaust leaks are gone (and through the Stebro).
