Mine were pretty yellowish. I thought it was plastic itself but found out it was just surface. So basically sanding and polishing took good care. I started from #400 wet since the lense surface was scratched up. 500, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000 (all wet sanding) and polishing compounds. When you sanding you can actually see yellow stuff coming off from surface. If you be careful not leaving deep scratchs at every step, it will just look like matt finish surface. Then I used Meguiars products. The polish for clear plastic lense wasn't working well, so I used show car glaze 7. I know that's actually for body surface, but I knew it would work for plastic as well. Then there comes clear and shine instantly. It worked great for mine. Result might vary depends on how you do all the steps.. Polishing actually takes a lot of energy. Mine look pretty clear still. Just inside surface need to be polished as well to be perfect, but for now it's OK....

BTW, you probably don't need to remove headlights but it was pretty hot day and I didn't wanna stay outside....
