There's documentation to support this? I'd like to know if my reasoning is flawed.
Seems to me a wingless SVX is aerodynamically cleaner than one with a wing. I'm not an expert and can cite no references, but by definition anything that "spoils" the airflow, well, spoils the airflow.
Any wing of any description on any street car is essentially a "sporty" tack-on.
