alternator questions
How many amps does the stock alternator put out? I'm planning on having an alternator rebuilt and upgraded to put out more amps to help deal with my fairily large stereo. What would be a good number of amps to have it built to be putting out? The only reason I'm thinking about doing this is that the lights on my Alpine head unit dim a little when my subs hit hard sometimes and because I was told it is a good idea to upgrade the alternator. Any better ideas?
