Hey Harvey,
Yes it is different, The torque converter on the SVX is bigger than the ones on the other Subarus, and it takes a different Flexplate to match the TC, if one were to get the SVX TC rebuilt, they could use it in the Legacy tranny and retain the SVX Flexplate.
I wouldn't recommend using the SVX TC without a rebuild, as it will have debris from the bad tranny in it (don't want to gum up the new tranny, do we
)
