I use only valvoline maxlife in my SVX.
I had bought a corolla at one point that had an oil leak when purchased, I used valvoline maxlife in it, and no more oil leak! I kept the car for 3 years after that and never had a problem. So now ALL of my cars get Valvoline.
I have heard good things about amsoil as well, but never used it.
