Heh-heh. My mom had an R15 for a while as I was growing up. Probably in the range of '73 or '74. It was bright yellow, and pretty cool for a mom-mobile, I thought.
The Gordini was the R17, at least here in the US. I honestly don't know if the Gordini was a special package R17, or if they just called them all R17 Gordini's. I had Momo 'web' style wheels on it, similar to BMW wheels.
My girlfriend at the time had a Renault LeCar. We, ummm, managed to pass the time in that car a few times. I couldn't do that now, of course, although I'd be willing to try!
I just recently got in contact with her via e-mail after about 18 years. She said every time she sees a LeCar (which couldn't be much) she thinks of me. Isn't that sweet?
