I was wondering if anyone on the board has installed or had some say in the installation of a generator that switches over in case of power failure for a small home.

Probably have to calculate how much juice I would need.

I lost power on Sunday due to weather and thought to myself, this is the last straw while freezing my ass off (no heat since I don't use natural gas).

Looking for some good manufacturers with great reputation.
