Talking An update

Not that it matters (to anyone?) but I went with 4 NAPA molded hoses for the upper & lower (still have to trim them!) + 2 heater hoses, all under $50 total.

Installation was straightforward, except it can be hard to access the lower radiator hose & clamp without removing the belly pan. Mine has had the threads stripped on the attaching bolts by too many dealership oil changes ("We just use the ol' air wrench to spin 'em off, Eyuck!").

Added a Prestone flushing "T" on the passenger side. I was actually impressed at the effectiveness of this method in backflushing the coolant: only took a couple minutes for the water/coolant mixture to run clear and cold.

As the original 100K+ hoses actually look & feel pretty good they went into a bag marked "In case of emergency" I keep in the trunk on long trips. One of which is planned for later this month (and part of August)...

Cheers!
