OK Danny this is the state of play. 
The Legacy has the same bore and stroke as the SVX.
The pistons will fit the SVX.
The different 2.2 lt pistons have different cutouts in the top that change the compression ratio. If the Legacy 2.2 Turbo pistons are fitted into the SVX the compression ratio will drop enough to turbo or supercharge it. Exactly how much the ratio will drop is not clear at the moment, but it will be at least 8.6:1, may be more.
