You'd have to replace the strut. The problem is the new struts have been sitting on a shelf for 17 years and fail very quickly. They're about $80.00. Remove the little tab from the end link and get it welded, you'll save a bundle on parts and labour. No need to replace a strut that isn't blown with one which will die in a year or so.
