i bought my stereo reciever a few years ago, and then a week later they were selling the new version with component video switching for the same price.

i have 2 component inputs on my TV, so the PS2 and DVD are using them. when HD TIVO's come down from their lofty price, i'm in trouble.

...and BTW, don't buy the $139 LITEON DVD recorder from Sam's Club if you plan on using component outputs. i bought one, fuzzy, smeared picture, returned it, same with the other one. tech support suggested i use the S-video output . it wasn't my cables or TV, because my old Sony DVD looked just fine when i hooked that back up each time.
