I think that the current-gen Legacy and Outback models represent the first actual separation of the models. The first-gen Outbacks were really just lifted Legacys, but I think the current Outbacks are a separate chassis now. Yeah, they're based on the Legacy platform, but I don't think they're as interchangeable as they used to be.
