Yes if a url says
www.something.com or .net or .org it should have a front page or at least open something to link you somewhere within the url address. As it is at least on my computer
http://www.subaru-svx.net does not open anything but a blank page. And what was my original point the page I originally requested to print out invitations to our group is the DEAD URL it needs a forward slash forum I.E.
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum and doesnt have it.
Does that clear things up?
