Sure it's flawed, but it's fun.
Right now I have a 350Z I got for free running 7.88 with 413bhp ~387tq.
It's funny to me because I just watched a bunch of Youtube vids of people running similar times with > twice the power.
Engine and drivetrain stage 1, stock body, stage 2 tires, plenty of room for improvement.
I got to say though I'm disappointed in the lack of Subaru love in this game.

Gfx is turned way down.
The E6300 can't handle this game (neither can
ATI drivers 
) but I found a E6750 on Ebay for $170. C2Ds are going cheap. Get'em while their hot.
