No, weird is when you go get a speedometer cable for one, and the guy comes out and takes the two foot long cable out of the box and says "That can't be right, Vanagons have the engine in the back" and before you can tell him the speedometer is driven off the left front hub, he's in the back digging for the "Right" cable

As for the tool, Snap-on sells them, they're basically a long bolt in the correct thread pitch, with the head chopped off, and the rest chromed, for $39.95...
