OT - Audi 1.8T
Guy at work just bought a 1999 Audi A4 1.8T. Says the engine puts out 150 hp (I forget the torque figure) but with an aftermarket computer chip, the HP goes to 200 and the torque goes to 245 lb-ft. This sounds like an unbelievable increase just from a software upgrade and no hardware changes.
Does anyone out there have any idea how they accomplish this? Or is this a scam?
