no, not unless she weighs around 400 lbs 
couple of things to check:
1. tire pressure
2. are you actually operating the transmission in "Power" mode ("Power" will light up on the dash when you hit the gas hard)
3. is the engine actually going all the way to red line between shifts? (if not, you may have a TPS adjustment issue or a brake band adjustment need)
