Update on this, hopefully the last.
Negotiated with PO's insurance company, long story short they are paying my local subaru dealership to buy/replace lower control arm, ball joint, tire de/mounting, and the wheel liner (and the $60 worth of clips to put that back on..). As the wheel bearing issue was most likely not caused by anything the shipping company did, I will be paying for the installation of that.
Now I wait...
Soon the day will come when I can drive a near perfect SVX
